SUM/SOME of the parts 2007
Van 29 maart t/m 1 april 2007 is Vooruit is de gastheer voor ‘SUM/SOME of the parts’, een pleiade van huidige en recent afgestudeerde dansers en choreografen van PARTS, aangevuld met werk van docenten van de internationale dansschool, choreografen die langer geleden afstudeerden en de oprichter Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker zelf.
From 29 March until 1 April 2007, Vooruit is the host for ‘SUM/SOME of the parts’, a series of current and recently graduated dancers and choreographers of the dance school PARTS, along with some creations of PARTS teachers, choreographers who graduated several years ago and of founder Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker herself.

PARTS bewoont samen met het dansgezelschap Rosas en het muziekensemble Ictus een oude industriële site in Vorst (Brussel). Sinds 1994 is het een broedplaats voor artistiek talent uit de hele wereld: dansers, choreografen, theatermakers, docenten, muzikanten en componisten.
Voor de derde keer sinds 2000 toont SUM/SOME of the parts een brede staalkaart van het werk dat in die gebouwen ontstaat, en van de bagage die ex-PARTS-studenten hebben meegenomen naar andere oorden.
SUM/SOME of the parts 2007 = dans, theater en installaties in alle mogelijke vormen en maten, in alle hoeken en zalen van Vooruit, meer dan 30 voorstellingen op 3 dagen. Kort en krachtig. Overdaad schaadt niet!
The international school for contemporary dance PARTS, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s dance company Rosas and the Ictus musical ensemble occupy a former industrial site in Forest (Brussels). Since 1994, it has become the breeding ground for artistic talent coming from the whole world: dancers, choreographers, theatre makers, teachers, musicians and composers.
For the third time since 2000, ‘SUM/SOME of the parts’ shows a sample of the work that s being created in these buildings and the tools and practices the artists who pass by take with them to other places.
SUM/SOME of the parts 2007 = dance, theatre and installation work in many forms and colours, in all corners and rooms of Vooruit, more than 30 performances in 3 days. Brief and powerful. You can’t have too much of a good thing!
