Het interregionaal platform voor kunst, onderzoek en technologie Transdigital komt in 2010 op kruissnelheid. Na een jaar van zoeken, onderzoeken en concepten uittesten worden de eerste resultaten van de samenwerking tussen cultuurhuizen, kunstenaars, onderzoekscentra en bedrijven in Vlaanderen, Wallonië en Noord-Frankrijk voorgesteld aan het publiek.

Transdigital, the interregional network for art, research and technology will reach its apex in 2010. After a year of investigation, research, and trying out concepts, the first results of the collaboration between arts centres, artists, research centres and companies in Flanders, Wallonia, and Northern France will be presented to the audience.

Transdigital presenteert drie soorten projecten / Transdigital will present three types of projects:

• - Seminaries waarbij kennisoverdracht en networking voorop staat / seminars placing knowledge transfer and networking centrally;
• - Workshops waarbij artiesten, onderzoekers en technologiewereld hands-on aan de slag gaan / workshops where artists, researchers and the tech industry go for the hands-on approach;
• - Producties waarbij artiesten samen met bedrijven de samenwerking in praktijk brengen / productions putting the collaboration between artists and companies in practice.

Dit is een greep uit de activiteiten voorjaar 2010 / This is a selection of the activities in the spring of 2010:

• - In Gent loopt vanaf 3 april Electrified 02 – Hacking Public Space, een tentoonstelling en stadsproject waarbij technologie een grote rol speelt. (Met o.m. het project Trans-Sphere van Pierre-Laurent Cassière – zie schets onder.) Het project wordt afgesloten met Electrified Summercamp, een workshop van een week waarbij samenwerking en kennisuitwisseling centraal staan / From the third of April, Ghent will welcome Electrified 02 – Hacking Public Space, an exhibition and urban project in which technology plays a significant role. One of the featured projects is Trans-Sphere by Pierre-Laurent Cassière – see figure below. The event will be concluded with the Electrified Summercamp – a weeklong workshop focussing on collaborations and the exchange of knowledge
• - In Mons is er het VIA-festival waar twee producties te zien zijn die tot stand kwamen met de steun van Transdigital: Actor #1 van Kris Verdonck en Domini Public van Roger Bernat (zie foto boven) / Mons will host the VIA festival, featuring two productions that were established with the help of Transdigital: Actor #1 by Kris Verdonck and Domini Public by Roger Bernat (see picture above)
• - Tijdens de ontmoetingsdagen voor professionelen uit de podium- en technlogiesector op 4 en 5 maart in Mons wordt uitgebreid stilgestaan bij de praktijken waarbij artiesten, bedrijven en onderzoekers mekaar ontmoeten / The meeting days for professionals in the stage and tech industries on the 4th and 5th of March in Mons will focus on the activities uniting artists, companies and researchers
• - In Kortrijk presenteert Plan B Into the light of the night, een GPS en location based services project waarmee de stad op een andere manier ontsloten wordt. Op vraag van Kunstencentrum BUDA creëren ze een GPS-gestuurde wandeling op het Buda-eiland die vanaf 22 april operationeel is en in de toekomst beschikbaar gesteld wordt aan individuele gebruikers. (Zie foto onder.) Een Transdigital workshop rond location based services met oa. Dan Belasco Rogers volgt in juni 2010 / At Kortrijk, Plan B will present Into the light of the night, a GPS and location-based services project unlocking the city in a whole new way. At the request of the BUDA arts centre, they created a GPS walk on the Buda island, which will be fully operational from the 22nd of April and will be made available for individual users in the future. Transdigital will organize a workshop on location-based services with Dan Belasco Rogers and others in June 2010
